동료들이 모두 비명을 질렀어요 All my co-workers are screaming,

‘난 끝이야, 가족에게 사랑한다고 전해줘’ "I'm gonna die. Tell my family I love them."

저는 이렇게 대답했어요 ‘우린 절대 안 죽어’ And I'm like, "We're not dying in here. We're not dying."

그러다가 쾅 하고 모든 게 무너져 내렸어요 And then, boom! Everything just fell on us.

누가 구조대 좀 보내주세요 여기 사람이 갇혔어요 Somebody please, send us some help. We are trapped.

여기는 아무도 올 수 없어요 Nobody can get to us.

움직일 수 없었고 공황 상태에 빠졌죠 I couldn't move and I started to panic.

재난이 일어나 사람이 갇히는 영화는 수도 없이 봤지만 I've watched all these movies about disasters and people getting trapped.

제가 살아가면서 이런 일을 겪으리라고는 And I never would have thought that I would have lived,

어제 있었던 일처럼 생생하게 기억나요 I remember it as if it was yesterday.

왜냐하면 그날 Because that day,

순식간에 사람이 I realized that in a split second…

죽을 수 있다는 걸 you can,

깨달았거든요 you can die.

제때 빠져나갈 수 없을까 봐 너무 무서웠어요 and I was worried I wouldn't make it in time.

언덕에 올라가면 안전할 거라고 생각했어요 I thought I'd be safe if I got to the hill.

하지만 언덕까지 물이 차올랐고  But I realized I was in the water.

어떻게 해야 할지 몰랐어요 I didn't know how.

탈출하는 대신 Instead of escaping,

하늘을 보고 최대한 떠 있으려고 했어요 I started looking up at the sky and floating.

지진은 가장 끔찍한 자연재해입니다 [narrator in English] Earthquakes are the deadliest of natural disasters.

건물을 무너뜨리고 [narrator] Destroying buildings.

지구가 점덤 더워지고 더 뜨거워지고 북극 얼음이 녹아내리고 환경이 변화함으로써 여러가직 걱정이 많이 된다. 지구를 살리려면 어떤 환경을 만들어가야 하는지 심각하게 생각하고 탄소배출을 줄이는 노력을 해야 할 것이다.  지구가 멸망하면 다른 행성으로 이주해야 하는지를 고민할 때가 올 까봐 걱정된다.

지구를 지키는 노력을 작은 것에서부터 실천해야 한다고 생각한다.
